Founder Ruipeng Yukiyama is thrilled to share the official public launch of Climate Ingenuity’s finalized platform, an all-in-one hub built to help you understand, design, and implement climate policy solutions at scale. For anyone doing their part to tackle the climate crisis, what’s hard isn’t finding information, it’s knowing what actually works and where to start. Climate Ingenuity directly fills that gap through its extensive set of the world’s best evidence-based resources, offering a highly streamlined way to navigate the space.

Overall, the platform provides much needed clarity on what solving climate change can really look like, acting as a practical, interactive guide for professionals, advocates, and everyone in between to take enormous action on the issue.

Overview of Substantial New ‘Batch 2’ Expertise Building Resources

a snapshot of all the great topics covered by newly approved resources, organized by sector

Let’s be honest: solving climate change is hard. There are so many areas to address and we’re running out of time to do so. As your go-to catalog for solutions-focused insights, Climate Ingenuity’s second batch of policy resources from mid-2023 onward builds on the first to equip you with actionable knowledge on what it takes to solve this global issue. Spanning significant depth and breadth of expertise building material, the platform flips the script from scarcity to abundance, packaging a lot of high value content in one location. Its unmatched versatility of use cases also meets people where they are, from the casually interested to those fully committed to making an impact. In other words, Climate Ingenuity is designed for those willing to go all in, while taking the credibility guesswork, contradictions, redundancy, jargon, and overwhelming nature of the climate policy space out of the picture (see here for the exact criteria).

The typical person would need years of expensive schooling or working their way up to become informed on even some of these topics. In contrast, Climate Ingenuity can help you reach said level in much fewer hours of use time, while also offering full control over how and when you develop that expertise.

Overall, Batch 2 contains nearly 100 new resources among 270 vetted, with around 70% of them being recent books and reports. 11 more have also been approved as “add-ins” on a case-by-case basis since then. The following tables provide more details on the way this part of the platform is structured, as well as how to navigate it effectively.

Introducing the Ultimate Climate Policy Data Center

a dashboard view on the most complete set of policy landscape interfaces, all in one place

When it comes to solving climate change, tracking our progress matters. Yet up until recently, there wasn’t a centralized hub to do so across the numerous different sectors, geographic scales, and overall rapidly changing nuances of the field. Rather, the most credible sources were spread around countless online sites, each created by different organizations with different goals. Finding the right ones exactly when you need them, whether for work, research, or even just personal interest, meant navigating a huge digital landscape where quality varies widely.

Climate Ingenuity’s new game-changing data center feature fixes this problem for good. Centered around a time saving collection of 22 carefully screened third party interfaces, it puts the current climate landscape in perspective to help identify the biggest opportunities for improvement. Whether you’re trying to understand what’s happening globally, in a specific country, or on exact topic areas like electric vehicle adoption or food waste, the relevant data sources are easily accessible to you from a single starting point.

Need a comprehensive, framework-based overview spanning all sectors to write a high stakes policy brief? Speed & Scale’s Global Climate Tracker delivers exactly that. Want to see the latest state of Canada’s emissions reduction progress nationwide to fact check a bold claim? The Canadian Climate Policy Inventory lays that out perfectly. Looking for EV market share data in all developed countries to make a presentation? New Automotive’s Global Electric Vehicle Tracker got you covered too. The list of practical use functions goes on.

Top Insights from the U.S. Federal Climate Policy Tracker 2025 Update

Here's what most climate coverage won't tell you: while Biden-era policies pushed 12 policy areas on track for their 2030-2050 targets, five components still lack basic measurement systems. That gap isn't just a data problem, it's a glaring blindspot that makes progress much harder on those fronts.

Climate Ingenuity’s 2025 update captures this entire picture via 36 indicators spanning all major sectors. It details the exact standpoints where meaningful gains happened before recent rollbacks, which areas saw limited changes, and the ones where much needed measurement infrastructure is missing. For anyone planning ambitious climate policy work for 2029 onwards, these insights provide essential context you won’t find anywhere else.

Take industry for example: projects received $20 billion in total investments, yet emissions remain high across the board. Or cattle, deemed code red because it got basically no action at all during Biden's tenure. On a positive note, battery production doubled to over 200 GWh with 700 more capacity under construction, making 1,600 annually by 2035 firmly within reach. These differences expose a crucial pattern: batteries succeeded because policy matched funding with clear targets, while industrial emissions stagnated despite billions invested and cattle got ignored, revealing which approaches can accelerate progress post-Trump versus which mistakes to avoid repeating.

The full tracker includes precise quantitative and qualitative metrics, data sources with direct links, and status classifications for all indicators. It represents the most complete documentation of where U.S. climate policy stood at the end of Biden's term, a baseline that becomes even more valuable as institutional memory fades and the need to rebuild grows clearer.

Climate Ingenuity was built to help dedicated people develop standout expertise in climate policy solutions, as well as deliver exceptional unique value to the field. You are highly encouraged to support the finalized platform using a 'pay what you think it's worth' model and/or by becoming a paid subscriber to invest in ongoing work (more details below). 1% of your contribution will also be donated towards high quality carbon dioxide removal via Stripe. Thank you!

New Planned Book Announcement: The Project ASAP Climate Agenda

Climate Ingenuity’s three core features already set a strong foundation for presenting the top solutions to solve today’s most pressing global issue. Thus, founder Ruipeng Yukiyama’s next major endeavor is an extension of that to create something this space still lacks: a practical playbook for making climate progress the default outcome rather than so hard to come by, proven across multiple countries and policy contexts.

Intended to counter Project 2025’s dismantling of recent U.S. policy achievements, The Project ASAP Climate Agenda aims to take a fundamentally different approach from existing literature. Rather than just reverting to Americentric subjects like a lot of current dialogue, it will put forward policy solutions tailored to four major countries: the US, UK, Canada, and Japan. This reveals which approaches work across borders and which unfortunately do not. Moreover, instead of the redundant sector-by-sector structure which dominates the climate policy space, it will hone in on themes that are less covered, often overlooked, and more experimental, but nonetheless still deserve serious consideration.

The vision is ultimately to set the new gold standard for what breakthrough climate solutions should really look like, including a ‘policy wonk’s laboratory’ section for testing novel proposals and progressive writing structure that meets readers from all knowledge levels. Planned topics include but won’t be limited to:

  • Multi-Level Governance: Maximizing the Power of Role Players
  • China Relations: Addressing the Elephant in the Room
  • Public Messaging: The Untapped Potential of Behavioral Psychology-Based Solutions
  • The X+2 Strategy: Taking Climate Diplomacy to a Whole New Level
  • Cultivate Loonshots: Scaling Big Ideas When It Matters Most
  • Optimize Personnel: Making the Most of the People We Have

This type of ambitious undertaking will require both focused development time and direct engagement to reach its full real-world impact potential. Thus, paid newsletter subscribers will receive exclusive audience-validated perks going forward such as potential community access and Q&A section, plus top policy insights as Ruipeng works through Climate Ingenuity's resources himself. Your support also plays a pivotal research-backed role in helping secure a strong publishing deal for the book itself.

After 4+ years since its original concept, Climate Ingenuity has been finalized. Now, with The Project ASAP Climate Agenda to follow, the next chapter is underway.
